Summary

In 2011, Masters Home Improvement promised to rejuvenate (and take over) the Australian hardware store industry. In 2016, the 63 stores closed their doors for good, losing Woolworths Limited over 3.2 billion dollars. No Masters serves as a historical record of the 18 Victorian stores in black and white photographs taken about a year after they closed. The format is based on Ed Ruscha's classic artist's book Twentysix Gasoline Stations (1963).

Full contents Ballarat, Box Hill, Braybrook, Burnside, Carrum Downs, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Hawthorn East, Keysborough, Knoxfield, Mornington, Northland, Oakleigh South, Pakenham, Roxburgh Park, South Morang, Sunbury and Williams Landing.
