The print depicts the theatre scene of Ise Ondo dance. Thirty-two female dancers are dancing on stage, six female musicians playing 'Shamisen', a traditional Japanese string instrument, while 16 male customers are sitting and viewing the dance. Two older women and two young girls are waiting on both sides, so this theatre could be in a brothel or some entertainment business premises.
