- Summary:
-
“In early 2012 the mining magnate Gina Rinehart, Australia’s richest person, put pen to the now highly criticised poem: “Our Future”. This poem reflects Gina’s view on where Australia sits in the world as she sees it and the future of our people, wealth and prosperity under the current government. The following images here were photographed during a Magnum Workshop with Trent Parke during 2012 Foto Freo, held in March 2012. The photographs illustrate the poem in a style I love to pursue with my street photography which is to capture quirky moments or ubiquitous juxtapositions.” —Mike Reed, from the back cover.
