- Gould proposed that this genus be called Dendrocitta, comprising Dendrocitta leucogastra, Dendrocitta sinensis and Dendrocitta vagabunda. The plate depicts Dendrocitta leucogastra (the white-bellied treepie, found in the forests of southern India), J. & E. Gould del. & lith., printed by by C. Hullmandel.
- National Library of Australia's copy is inscribed "To M. Isidore Saint-Hilaire with the author's respects" and is the third item bound with two other papers by Gould from the same journal.
