Yong speaks of her family background and her first interest in dance, her continuing interest in dance on her arrival in Australia, dancing with Chandrabhanu and Bharatam Dance Company, working with Don Asker, meeting Sun Ping. Sun Ping's describes his background in China, his early dance training in China, going to Beijing, moving to South China and working there, travelling to Europe, his decision to come to Australia and working at the VCA. Yong's also discusses her university studies, her parents' attitude to her dance career. Sun speaks of his parents' attitude to his dancing, differences between the training and aesthetic of Yong and Sun, establishing the Wu Lin Dance Theatre, its charter and aims, people who have inspired Yong and Sun, the choreographic process and the development of a movement vocabulary for Yong and the autobiographical nature of Yong's and Sun's work. They talk about the influence of the policies of Pauline Hanson on their work, the contemporary nature of their work, Sun's attitude to the work process, male/female issue in their work, their current project Tiger Gold for the Castlemaine Festival, Sun's interest in film and new technology, collaborating with musicians, visual design elements to their work, their audiences and their hopes for the future.
