Summary

Morris Lurie, an Australian author, talks about his autobiography; childhood; his children's story, "The story of Imelda, who was small"; his enjoyment of comics and education at Prahran Tech. and Melbourne High. He then discusses his 1st short story, "Bachelor flat" and 1st published work, "Hurley's life of Samuel Johnson"; writing experiences in London; American experiencs; interest in jazz and his career in children's literature. Lurie then discusses his own tastes in reading; his Jewish background; working on screeplays; involvement in the illustration of his works and his views on films.
