- An account of the two Tichborne trials concerning Arthur Orton, otherwise called Thomas Castro, claiming to be Sir Roger Charles Doughty-Tichborne. The first trial, action of ejectment brought by the plaintiff against Frank Lushington, tenant, to recover the Tichborne estates, was held in the Court of Common Pleas, 1871-72. In the second, the criminal trial, the defendant was tried for perjury before the Court of Queen's Bench, 1873-74.
