- The series is fiction story about the adventures of Mr Science, a young boy fascinated by science, and his travels around the world accompanied by his friend Ms. Midori. Includes information of geography, history and the customs of the world for Japanese children and the parents. This, the fourth and last volume in the series, features the Americas and Oceania. The section on the United States introduces many places including New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Niagara Falls, Detroit, Dearborn, Chicago, the Mississippi River, New Orleans, etc. In the Australian section Sydney Harbour, the wool industry, indigenous people and Melbourne are introduced. Information about Australian birds and animals including the black swan, goanna, kookaburra platypus are introduced. (In this book, goanna is explained the same as a kookaburra as the text states "It is a bird called goanna which is also known as the laughing bird").
