- "Through the Climate Change Act 2017 (the Act), Victoria has committed to setting five-yearly interim greenhouse gas emissions1 (emissions) reduction targets on the path to net zero emissions by 2050. Through the Act, Victoria also recognises and supports the Paris Agreement on climate change, in which the international community committed to "holding the increase in global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursuing efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C" (the "Paris goal")." --Page 6.
