Martin & Pleasance, which traces its origins to 1855 or 1860, moved into new premises at 180 Collins Street in December 1889 (see the article and illustration at http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article139145618); the building, now re-numbered 178, is still standing, and the company is still in business, albeit at another address (see https://www.martinandpleasance.com/history/, viewed August 2019).
In mid-1893 advertisements in the Leader (Melbourne, Vic.), earlier references to Ruddock's Tractate (see 22 October 1887, page 26, column d, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article196495290, and 29 September 1888, page 24, column b, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article196421177, before the company moved from 85 to 180 Collins Street) are changed to Ruddock's Pamphlet and the price of the remedy has risen from 3s. to 3s. 6d (1 July 1893, page 20, column b, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article196639402, viewed August 2019). Martin & Pleasance issued several publications by the English author E. H. (Edward Harris) Ruddock (1822-1875), a prolific populiser of homeopathy.
