Doug Lowe, former Deputy Premier of Tasmania 1975-1977; Premier of Tasmania 1977-1981; commenced his career as an electrical fitter 1960-1965; since 1992 held the position of Executive Officer, Tasmanian Branch, Australian Medical Association.
