- Summary:
-
"A remarkable staging of the emergence of the great painter Mathias Kauage in 1969 and his school, whose activity was generated during his lifetime and developed after his death in 2003. In his wake is formed the Clan Kauage: family , friends and artists continued his work, first by copying it, then gradually distinguishing it. They ended up standing in front of the Holiday Inn [Port Moresby], along a sidewalk with a grid suitable for displaying their highlighted flat canvases. It is a creative sidewalk, surprising, constantly renewed, sublime enterprise of sustainable development which exults within the greatest contemporary artistic adventure that Papua New Guinea has known."
