National Library of Australia's FRM F310 (NL, Petherick) copy in red slip cases: volume 1 rebacked with original covers and remnants of spine laid down, volume 2 fully bound in leather; both volumes embossed, Commonwealth Parliament Library, Petherick Collection.

National Library of Australia's NK958 copy is quarter bound in blue paper boards and stored in a brown box which bears to bookplate of Rex de C. Nan Kivell (no. 1800/3); also the armorial bookplate of Franciscus Willes Eq. Aur. - Fede no interrupta; volume 1 has manuscript, ink inscription on the last free end paper: "The King of France, besides making Captain Dillon, who discovered traces of the shipwreck of La Perouse, a knight of the Legion of Honor, has presented him with 10,000 francs to defray the expenses of his visit to Paris, and a pension of 4000 francs a year.- He is also to receive the reward promised by the Decree of 1791 to the Navigator who should first ascertain the fate of La Perouse."; front board of volume 2 detached.

National Library of Australia's GMM copy fully bound in leather with gilt stamped decorations and blue marbled boards; rear board of volume 1 detached; front and rear boards of volume 2 coming away; both inscribed Gregory M. Mathews and bear the his ex-libris bookplate; pencil notes on birds mentioned on inside endpaper of volume 1.

National Library of Australia's Robinson copy half bound in calf with marbled boards, five raised bands and speckled edges; bears the armorial bookplate of W.S. Robinson - Qualis ab incepto - inside front cover.
