Dipa Nusantara Aidit (born Ahmad Aidit; 30 July 1923 – 22 November 1965) was a senior leader of the Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI). Born on Belitung Island, he was nicknamed "Amat". Aidit was educated in the Dutch colonial system.
