In June 1974 the Dept. of Supply changed its name to the Dept. of Manufacturing Industry. Then on December 22, 1975 it changed to the Dept. of Industry and Commerce. On November 8, 1976 certain functions of the Dept. of Industry and Commerce were transferred to the then new Dept. of Productivity. In December 1984 it became the Dept. of Industry, Technology and Commerce. Publications by these bodies are entered under the name used at the time of publication
