In March 1983 the Office of Women's Affairs changed its name to the Office of the Status of Women. On 26 Oct. 2004 the Office of the Status of Women transferred from the Dept. of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to the Dept. of Family and Community Services, changing its name to the Office for Women. Works by these bodies are found under the name used at the time of publication
