George Augustine Thomas O'Brien (26 January 1892 – 31 December 1973) was an Irish politician, economist and academic. He was first elected to Seanad Éireann as an independent member in 1948 by the National University of Ireland constituency. He was re-elected in 1951, 1954, 1957 and 1961. He lost his seat at the 1965 election.
