In 1939 the Public Library, Museum and Art Gallery of South Australia became three separate bodies: the National Gallery of South Australia, the Public Library of South Australia and the South Australian Museum. In 1967 the Public Library of South Australia changed its name to the State Library of South Australia. Works by these bodies are found under the name used at the time of publication
