The Dept. of Agriculture existed briefly from 1875 to 1877 then was re-established in 1892. From 1907-1908 it was known as the Dept. of Agriculture and Intelligence. It was subsequently known as the Dept. of Agriculture until October 1975 when it amalgamated with the Dept. of Fisheries to become the Dept. of Agriculture and Fisheries. In September 1979 that Dept. was split back into two departments, the Dept. of Agriculture and the Dept. of Fisheries. In October 1992 it merged with the Departments of Fisheries and Woods and Forests to form Primary Industries South Australia. Works by these bodies are entered under the name used at the time of publication
