The National Parks and Wildlife Service was a division of the Dept for the Environment until 11 May 1981, of the Dept. of Environment and Planning until 1992 when it merged with Lands SA and environmental sections of the Dept. of Environment and Planning to form the Dept. of Environment and Land Management. Although the Service was reportedly disbanded after the Dept. changed its name in Sept. 1993 to Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources, publications continued to appear with its logo until early 1997 when a new logo appeared, National Parks and Wildlife. Works by these bodies are entered under the name used at the time of publication
