In 1990 the National Parks and Wildlife Division became the National Parks and Public Land Division of the Department of Conservation and Environment. In 1992 the National Parks Service was reestablished under the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. In December 1996 the National Parks Service changed its name to Parks Victoria.
