Annotation. Evidence-based practice in early childhood education and care (ECEC) refers to educators, teachers and leaders being intentional in their practice by drawing on rigorous research evidence. This national research snapshot by the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) collects evidence on the use of evidence-based practices in Australian ECEC services using Q4 2021 National Quality Standards data.AERO's snapshot establishes a baseline for the current state of evidence-based practice use by Australian ECEC teachers, educators and leaders that can be used to measure change. This will support the research's overall aim of increasing evidence-based practice use in Australian ECEC services.
