Annotation. 'Breakfast with Jesus' has 50 meditations that have grown out of the conversations that my wife, Anne and I have enjoyed over many years together - conversations about God, faith and life. Each meditation is based on a verse from the Bible that has been significant in our lives, and has opened a door into a wonder of God and his world. Think of each verse as a bridge into a wider world of meaning and ideas that lie like a hidden landscape we can enter. This makes the meditations more philosophical and theological than most devotional books - but that is the way our life conversations have gone. We see life and scripture working together to uncover the extraordinary in the ordinary, and to glimpse the wonder of life, faith and God. In some of the meditations I back up the words with a sketch that captures what the words might be struggling to say.
