- Summary:
-
Fourth generation South Australian Marian Smith follows her maternal lineage, tracing her Lomman and Paull ancestors back to 1700s Devon, Somerset and Cornwall, England and discovers her Prussian heritage in the Nitschke family who arrived in South Australia from Prussia in 1838. Marian has recorded small biographies rich with photographs of the lives of her grandparents, parents, brother, aunts and uncles, cousins, her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Together with Marian's reminiscences of her own life these biographies capture and preserve a small slice of South Australian history.--Back cover of print edition.
