- Summary:
-
Water sensitive urban design (WSUD) is the industry term describing the integration of water cycle management into planning, design and construction of the built environment ... The main interaction with the water cycle in the development and operation of Transport projects is through the management of stormwater, where the amount of hard surface area created during construction increases the volume and decreases the quality of water entering downstream waterways. This guideline describes the application of water sensitive urban design principles and techniques which are appropriate to the construction and operation of the NSW transport network." -- Page 3.
