The Commission is independent. - Tabled in Parliament on 26 September 2023. "In its closing hearing on 30 August 2023, the Commission of Inquiry made two restricted publication orders under the Commission of Inquiry Act 1995. One of those orders recommends the omission of certain material from the Final Report before it is published. On 25 September 2023, Her Excellency, as Governor-in-Council, omitted part of the Final Report consistent with the Commission's recommendations. The Commission's recommended omissions relate to Volume 6: Children in health services, Chapter 14: Case Study 1."--Jeremy Rockliff, Premier.
