Summary:

This piece was inspired by hearing Canberra's National Carillon shortly before the Al-Qaeda attacks on September 11th 2001 in New York and Washington. The composer has written a musical story of the attack and a requiem for the aftermath. The tolling bells were a musical instrument chosen to convey the gravity and tragedy of the event. The piece was premiered by Lyn Fuller, an expert performer of the unique instrument. --Adapted from publisher note.
