- Summary:
-
This piece uses the 1836 colonising text of King William IV when he founded 'South Australia', proclaiming the boundaries of the state. The music is set as if in the times of the 1830s, but by the music's final page, the promise to the Aboriginal people which has never been honoured, shows why neither the First Nations nor the colonists understand each other. --Publisher's note.
