- Summary:
-
'Queensland says: not now, not ever' is the state government's strategic plan of action to address domestic and family violence over the next ten years. This document sets out the plan's vision, key outcomes and foundational elements, and explains why the plan is needed and how it will be delivered. The key vision is that 'all Queenslanders live safely in their own homes and children can grow and develop in safe and secure environments', and is based around the three key elements of: community attitudes and behaviours, integrating service responses, and strengthening justice system responses. The development of this prevention strategy was the first recommendation of the 2015 Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland, and its other recommendations are also addressed within the strategy.
