"This is the story of Ursula Margot Scheer, nee Rosenberg. Ursula was born in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1920. Along with her family, successful Jewish business owners, she experienced racial vilification from the Nazis, preventing her from completing her schooling and business studies. In 1937, the family escaped to Adelaide, Australia when she was 17. She learnt English, gained employment & again along with her family, experienced governmental and social racism during WW2. Ursula married Ian Minck in 1945. They lived in Whyalla, and had two daughters, Vicki and Susan. Ian died in 1953. She moved to Adelaide and in 1959, married Horst Scheer. They had a daughter, Lydia. Ursula died in 2009, aged 88 years."--Back cover.
