Archival caption: Secretary of State for Health and Social Services David Ennals was greeted by scores of angry hospital ancillary workers when he visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children in Hackney, London. Dozens of members of staff held banners and placards as he tried to climb the few steps into the building. 31st January 1979.
