- The postcard shows Carol Channing and the cast of the American production of Hello Dolly! Carol Channing played the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in the original Broadway production which ran for 2,844 performances at the St. James Theatre, New York from 16 January 1964. Carole Cook played Dolly Levi in the Sydney production at Her Majesty's Theatre from 27 March 1965.
