Personal papers collected by Senator Missen as a member of the Liberal Party and Federal Parliament. The papers include correspondence, notes, reports, booklets, publications, background material, transcripts of interviews and speeches, newspaper clipings and Hansard extracts. Apart from some papers on the Young Liberal Movement, the great bulk of the papers date from 1975-86. The files cover a very wide range of subjects, including the Family Law Act, Freedom of Information, the National Crime Authority, Aboriginal land rights, constitutional reform, the Human Rights Commission, electoral reform and elections. There are also extensive files on Amnesty International and human rights in other countries.
