Asker, a dancer and choreographer, speaks about his childhood, family background and education. His discusses his experiences at the Australian Ballet school and performing with the Australian Ballet , the influence and inspiration of Australian dance personalities and experiences as a dancer and choreographer in England and Europe. He then discusses his feelings upon returning to Australia, working in Canberra, choreographers, audiences and venues in Canberra and reflects on the work of the Human Veins Company. He speaks about dance company boards, theatre in Canberra at the time and the difficulties experienced by small companies.
