MS 2447 comprises the incomplete and unsigned journal, March-October 1868, "written aboard the missionary schooner Day Spring during the voyages in the years 1867 and 1868 to the New Hebrides and Royalty Groupe of Western Polynesia". The collection also includes two notes, one apparently an extract from A.W. Murray's book Missions in Western Polynesia (London: John Snow, 1863), and the other a discussion of the missions of the New Hebrides and the work of prominent missionaries, particularly Reverend John Williams (1 box).
