Most of the documents are accompanied by typewritten English translations apparently done by the Landsarchief van Nederlandsch-Indie, now the Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia, where the documents are housed. There is also a yearbook for 1937 (published 1938) of the Landsarchief.
Negative photographs of 13 documents and letters, written chiefly in Dutch at Koepang, Sourabaya and Batavia, and most signed by Bligh. There are lists of the men on the "Resource" and the "Bounty" mutineers, descriptions of the revolts on both ships, interrogations by Bligh of the troublemakers, and requests to the Governor-General William Arnold Alting and members of the India Council

On 28 April 1789, Bligjh and 18 men from the "Bountry" were set adrift in the ship's launch. After one of the longest known open boat voyages, the launch reached Koepang, Timor, on 15 June. They secured a schooner, the "Resource", and proceeded on toBatavia, pausing at Sourabaya for supplies, where disputes broke out amongst themen. The Dutch governor was obliged to carry out investigations into the men's complaints
