Les Schulz born in Temora, N.S.W. recalls his family background; the musical interests of his family; dances at Trunglie Hall in the early 20th century; entering the motor trade in 1918 to work for his uncle Albert Schubert; no apprenticeships available in the early years, worked on motor bikes & pushbikes; early motor cars; bush mechanics; start of WWI, national training; location of the family business premises, 84 years in the trade; the Depression didn't affect the business; developments in mechanics in vehicles.
