- 52 photographs individually mounted on cardboard, in a green folder which has the title in gold lettering. Each mount is printed with a decorative border and the collective title and number above. Below the image: the individual title, with "N.J. Caire" l.l.; "Photo., Sandhurst" l.r., "J.W. Forbes, Agent" l.l., "Welch Typo" l.r; also details of particular buildings.
- Condition: Cardboard warped and foxing marks; Some discolouration of photographs, possibly due to speckling on the original negatives.
- Some of the photographs are also held in the Richard Ledgar collection of photographs, 1858-1910.
- Images individually catalogued and digitised.
