The papers comprise files maintained by successive secretaries of the Association including R.A. Edwards, R. McCreddin and Bruce Devlin. There are also records of the Vice President, T.J. Leo and the Convenor of the Research Management Committee, Roland Mortlock. The records include correspondence, Council papers, Executive papers, records of the Research Management Committee, records relating to the constitution and regulations, minutes, circulars, submissions, reports, publications, a tape and other material.

Association of mathematics teachers' groups in all states of Australia, established in 1966. Its objectives included the promotion of interest in mathematics education at all levels, the encouragement and promotion of research in the teaching of mathematics, and discussion and action on national matters relating to mathematics education.
