- Biography/History:

Alfred Cort Haddon (1855-1940), anthropologist and ethnologist, taught at the Royal College of Sciences and Cambridge University. He undertook an expedition to the Torres Straits and later organised his South Seas collections at the Cambridge Univerity Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology.
