The collection comprises photographs of Johnson's early life in England, 1932-1943, photographs, newspaper cuttings, articles, reports, design submissions, plans and other papers relating to Johnson's career as an architect in England, East Africa, Capetown, Burma and Australia. Also includes Johnson's 1949 thesis, an autobiographical narrative written in 1982 and some papers relating to an exhibition on Johnson in 1992.
