Treloar speaks her family background and early influences, political activism while at University of Sydney particularly Women's Liberation on campus, the links between Women's Liberationa and the Sydney Push and the Left in general, the effects of political involvement on her personal life mostly in gaining self-confidence, her introduction to journalism by just doing it, her move to South Australia, her position as Press Officer for Peter Duncan as the South Australian Attorney General and the feminist achievements that ensued from this position including rape in marriage law reform, her work on the Financial Review with aim of gaining corporate knowledge to understand capitalism from a feminist viewpoint, her position as Women's Advisor to the Premier from 1984-1990 and her view that such a key position is held in trust for the Women's Movement, her achievements while in this position and the methods she employed to pursue those, feminist issues of concern, how feminism has shaped her outlook.
