The MS 6830 collection includes correspondence, lecture material, appointment diaries, notebooks, papers on electronic music, scores, press clippings, reviews, programs, brochures and other papers (37 boxes, 26 fol. boxes).
The Acc01.151 instalment comprises 21 Schott scores of Don Banks, 17 original scores, concert programs and two posters advertising concerts (3 fol. boxes).
The Acc03.083 instalment comprises discs, programs and posters (1 box, 1 fol. box, 1 carton, 1 tube of posters).
- Biography/History:

A leading Australian composer, Donald Oscar Banks lived in London from 1953 to 1972. During this period his works were commissioned and premiered by major orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra. In 1973, he became the first chairman of the Australia Council Music Board. Banks was one of the most successful "third stream" composers, merging jazz with "serious" music.
