- "An extremely rare book printed in England for the author to distribute in the colony amongst those to whom he could not minister owing to the growth and spread of the settlement."
- National Library of Australia's NK386 copy fully bound in red morocco with gilt decorations; bears the bookplate of Rex de C. Nan Kivell (no. 1794/2); title page inscribed in ink, "Ac D. Parish" with other ink and pencil annotations, including details of Ann Downs Parish's family by her son, "WDM"; Ann Downs Parish is thought to have been a relative of Johnson.
