Sir Richard Clarence Kirby, born 22 September 1904, Charters Towers Qld., ed. King's School Parramatta and University of Sydney, Solicitor 1928, called to the Bar 1933, A.I.F., 1942-44. Member Australian War Crimes Commission September 1945, Australian Rep. U.N. Security Cl. Cttee of Good Offices on Indonesian Question 1947-48, Judge since 1947; Chairman Stevedoring Conciliation and Arbitration Commission 1956-73.
