The event of "October 14" is one of the most politically significant in Thai history. In the month of October of Year 2516 in the Buddhist Era (1973), protesters including students and ordinary citizens demand that the government of the Thanom-Praphat-Narong clique free 13 students-ajarn-and-politicians who had been arrested because they demand a constitution. As a result, the leaders of the ruling clique were forced to flee the country.
