- Biography/History:

Singer, vocal teacher and Professor of Singing at the NSW State Conservatorium. Foster was born in Dundalk, Ireland and studied at the Hampstead Conservatoire, London. Came to Australia with Dame Clara Butt and Kennerley Rumford in 1913. Author of an autobiography "Come listen to my song" (Sydney: Collins, 1949).
