Personal log recorded in pencil usually several times per day revealing the wind and weather conditions, the activity of the hands on board and passing traffic. It contains routine information of interest (distance travelled by Cutty Sark since 12 noon yesterday to 12 noon today 340 miles... 19 November, 1889). It consists of 93 leaves, (4 to 27 pp blank). On ruled copy paper, loosely sewn a few leaves detached, 16 leaves loosely inserted, slightly damp-stained, a few leaves worn at foredge, and slightly affecting the text.

Charles Tite was a young sailor, who died when he was 21 years old. He was born in Folkestone, England.
