The MS 6927 collection comprises printed material discussed at the seminar for members of the NSW Regional Committee of AACOBS on 13-14 October, 1980. Also included is a personal invitation from Margaret Trask, on behalf of the Organising Committee, to Harrison Bryan, Director-General of the National Library of Australia. Handwritten notes of the discussion during the seminar (Mr H. Bryan's notes?) are also included (1 folder).
The MS Acc GB 1988.1208 instalment comprises bound sets of all AACOBS meetings at the national level and files relating to these meetings, subject files, membership files and administrative files, including finances. The instalment also includes card catalogues (3 cartons, 3 fol. boxes).
The MS Acc GB 1991.2811 instalment contains correspondence, index cards and other records, dating from 1975 to 1988, of the AACOBS Working Party on Bibliography (1 A3 carton).
The MS Acc GB 1994.1804 instalment comprises sets of AACOBS meetings, seminar and survey papers, correspondence, plans and miscellaneous documents (25 cartons).
The Acc98.067 instalment includes audit reports and statements, 1982-1989, correspondence register, 1980-1983, two audio tapes on the Access to Information Seminar, 1989, and two additional AACOBS files on national literature policy and PPPM (1 box).
The Acc01.010 instalment comprises AACOBS files relating to the Services Working Group on Information Resources, 1982-1987, and draft contributions to the annual review, 1985 (2 boxes).
The Acc01.171 instalment consists of AACOBS files relating to the Standing Committee, 1970-1972, NSW Book Resources Committee, 1971, and the NSW Regional Committee, 1972 (1 box).

The Australian Advisory Council on Bibliographical Services (AACOBS) was established in 1956 and represented a wide spectrum of Australian libraries, archives and information services. It brought together the principal advisers to government on matters relating to libraries, and representatives of groups of libraries having important collections throughout Australia. On July 1, 1988 AACOBS merged with the Australian Libraries and Information Council to form the Australian Council of Libraries and Information Services (ACLIS).
