Journals and logs recording several major exploring expeditions in the Pacific. They include journals of Capt. Tobias Furneaux, 1772-74 (reel M1562); Lieut. Charles Clerke, 1772-75 (M1564); Lieut. James Burney, 1776-79 (M1565); Joseph Woodcock, 1786-87 (M1567); Archibald Menzies, 1790-94 (M1570); Capt. John Biscoe, 1830-33 (M1573); Lieut. James Colnett, 1793-94 (M1571); Thomas Edgar, 1776-78 (M1566); Lieut. George Peard, 1825-28 (M1572); John W. Price 1798-1800 (M1574); and Bartholomew Verwey 1664-67 (M1559). There are also drawings of William Hodges, 1772-74 (M1563) and logs, charts and other records of H.M.S. Dolphin, 1766-67 (M1560), H.M.S. Endeavour, 1768-71 (M1561) and H.M.S. Chatham, 1791-95 (M1568-1569).
